What is ICP-MS?
Trace metals and ultra-trace elemental analysis is most effectively performed using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). In ICP-MS analysis, a sample is introduced into a plasma medium where its atoms are converted into ions. These ions are then separated and detected by a mass spectrometer, so you can identify metals and impurities in your sample even at extremely low concentrations.
